Most of us will never be famous, and that is okay. You don’t have the be the best in the world at anything. You don’t have to be the best singer, artist, writer, teacher, accountant, sculptor, or whatever you’re wishing you were famous for. The Bible says we should aspire to live a quiet life.
and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
1 Thessalonians 4:11
Have your life centered on God. Be the best dad, mom, husband, or wife you can. Do your best with the gifts God has given you. That is enough. Make the most of what He has given you.
Be thankful. Practice gratitude each day. Tell God what you’re thankful for, because every good and perfect gift is from above.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:17
Then, focus on Him, serving God for His glory. Do housework for His glory. Parent for His glory. Whatever He has given you to do, do your best for His glory, not for your own.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:17
Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.
